April is National Poetry Month. Every April, Haldane Elementary students are invited to submit their poetry to be displayed in the window of Split Rock Books! Keep an eye out for an announcement later this year about how to submit your poems.

This year, join us for our new MIXTAPE Open Mic Event on Sunday, April 26 from 5pm-8pm at Cold Spring Coffeehouse!
This will be our Poetry Month community event geared towards middle and high school students - an intergenerational coffeehouse-style open mic inviting poetry, spoken word, storytelling, music, and short creative expressions inspired by artists who have shaped us in a welcoming, participatory space where middle school and high school students can share alongside community members and local artists.
A few invited local poets, musicians, actors, and artists will offer short performances during the evening and help spark moments of conversation and audience interaction.
